Editorial policy
Western Home Journal aims to publish clear, accurate writing about home and household life. We distinguish general guidance from personal preference, avoid presenting a style choice as a universal rule and make the basis of a claim clear.
Accuracy and clarity
We review copy for clear reasoning, useful context and claims that fit the evidence available to us. We do not invent facts, quotes, credentials or experience. When a topic depends on specialist judgement, hazardous work or local requirements, we keep our coverage appropriately limited rather than presenting it as a do-it-yourself instruction.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader relevance, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable treatment or a particular editorial outcome.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a factual error or an unclear passage, please use the Contact page and describe the issue. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where this applies, the image is identified as such.
